A big thank you goes out to R W Bakery. They have provided buns and juice for the fur sale and bread and juice
for the breakfasts. Donations of buns and other items have been given for our Hunter Safety class in the past.
This has been a significant donation and the club is grateful for their support.
Applications are now available for MUCC Summer Camp. In the past we have sponsored youth to attend this. If
you have any kids that are interested in attending MUCC camp this summer, please contact Joyce Krepps.
While the Michigan Out of Doors magazine subscriptions is no longer part of membership dues, it is still available
in print. If you are interested in subscribing to the magazine, please contact Bill or Joyce Krepps and they will get
you set up.
The Michigan Anglers Annual Fishing Derby is Saturday, February 4th. Weigh-in starts at 10:00 am and will take
place at the Eagles Clubhouse on Sherman Ave in Muskegon. This is open to the public. Tickets are available
at most local sport shops and cost $2. These also double as raffle tickets. 1st prize is $400, as well as many
other prizes. Other items being raffled are a cross bow, ice shanty, charter fishing trip, and a pheasant hunt.
There will be a Rabbit Derby taking place at our Clubhouse on Saturday, February 18th. Registration will be
from 7:00 to 7:30 am and the weigh-in will begin at 4:30 pm. Cost is $10 per person. Rules and prizes are posted\
at the club or you can contact Chad Cook at (231) 215-5631.
Hunter Safety will be held on March 27, 28 and 29; 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and conclude on Saturday, March 31st; 9:00 am
to 2:00 pm with lunch served. Registration begins at 5:00 pm on the 27th. Volunteers are needed on Saturday to
help with the lunch and guide students around the course.
Friday, April 13th is the Wildlife Banquet. The committee is requesting donations from club members. Invitations will
be sent out sometime in March. If you have donations or questions, please contact Ken Borgman.
The Club will be hosting a CCW Class on Saturday, April 21st. Cost is $60 per person for club members. If
interested, please signup at the February 7th or March 6th club meeting or contact Roger Cook. The fee must
be paid by March 6th.
The 2012 MUCC Convention will be held June 21 - 24. If you are interested in attending or have ideas for
resolutions to be brought before the convention, please contact a club officer.
The Crockery Creek QDM Co-op will be hosting a meeting at our Clubhouse on Sunday, June 24th. Information
will be presented along with a 3-D archery shoot and a BBQ. For more information contact Fred Rosel Jr.
